Quinn AI at Voyageur Quest

Voyageur Quest is an Algonquin Park outfitter that has run canoe trips and adventures since 1991. Guests have plenty of questions before they book. Quinn answers them on the page in real time, so an enquiry that used to arrive at midnight and sit unread can turn into a booking.

At a glance

Who we worked with and what we did.

Client

Voyageur Quest, an Algonquin Park outfitter offering canoe trips, log cabin adventures, cottages and winter getaways.

Our role

Designed and run Quinn, an AI agent that answers guest enquiries.

Where it works

On the page, where guests are already asking questions.

What it does

Answers in real time and moves guests toward a booking.

The starting point

An outfitter with many trips, seasons and group types gets a steady stream of questions before anyone books: which trip suits a family, what is included, when to go, what to bring. Some arrive in the evening or at the weekend, when no one is there to answer, and a question left until morning can be a booking that went elsewhere.

The aim with Quinn was to answer where the guest is asking, at the moment they ask, and keep the conversation moving toward a booking rather than a contact form to fill in and wait on.

What Quinn does

Kept deliberately narrow: one job, done properly.

Answers on the page

Guests ask a question in their own words and get an answer straight away, without leaving the page or waiting for an email.

Works when the office is closed

Evenings, weekends and holidays are covered, which is when many enquiries arrive.

Moves toward a booking

The conversation is aimed at helping the guest decide and book, not only at answering and stopping.

How we keep an agent like Quinn safe

An AI agent talking to customers on your behalf has to be designed carefully. The principles we build agents on are the same ones we describe on our agentic AI page: one narrowly defined job, the least access that does the work, a person approving anything costly or hard to undo, and a start in a mode where the agent only suggests until it has proved itself on real cases.

Just as important is a clear hand-off. An agent that is unsure should say so and bring in a person, rather than guess.

What we can and cannot say

We have not published detailed booking figures on this page, and we would rather say so than quote numbers we cannot back. You can see Quinn in action in the short walkthrough, and the agent runs on a live public site.

Questions we get asked

What is Quinn?

Quinn is Sulo Systems’ AI agent. At Voyageur Quest it answers guest enquiries on the page in real time and moves them toward a booking.

Can Quinn work for my business?

Yes. Quinn can be set up as an AI receptionist for service businesses, answering questions, qualifying enquiries and booking into your calendar. See our AI receptionist page for how it works.

Does an AI agent replace staff?

No. It handles the first response and the routine questions so your team can focus on the conversations that need a person, and it hands over when it is unsure.

Is it safe to let an AI agent talk to customers?

It can be, with the right design: a narrow job, limited access, approval steps for anything risky, a clear hand-off to a person and a period where the agent only suggests. We design those in from the start.

Want this for your business?

Tell us what you do and who you serve. In 15 minutes we will say what we would do first, whether we are the right people, and roughly what it would cost. If we are not the right fit, we will say so on the call.
