Custom web development in Toronto

Websites that work as hard as your team, and the systems behind them: client portals, booking and scheduling, CRMs, inventory and invoicing. Designed and built in-house, with scope and price agreed in writing before we start.

When custom is the right answer

Off-the-shelf tools are the right answer until they are not: when you are paying for software that does a tenth of what you need, forcing your process into someone else’s template, or copying data between three systems by hand. That is where we come in.

We build the system around how your business already works, rather than the other way round. One client replaced a $40,000-a-year SaaS subscription with a custom CRM portal and cut their software cost by about 70 percent.

How a project runs

  1. A 15-minute call

You tell us what you do and what is not working. We say whether we are the right people and give a rough price on the call.

  2. Scope in writing

We agree exactly what is being built, the price and a firm finish date before any work starts.

  3. Build

We build in the open, with working versions you can click through along the way rather than a big reveal.

  4. Launch

We move it live, connect payments, email and tracking, and walk you through how it works.

  5. Support

Two weeks of post-launch support are included. After that, ongoing support is a monthly rate scoped to what you need.

What it costs and how long it takes

New projects start at $3,000 CAD. The final figure depends on scope, and it is agreed in writing before we begin. Typical timelines are 2 to 6 weeks from kickoff. Larger systems take longer, and we set a firm finish date once the scope is clear.

Our team is in Toronto and does the work in-house. There are no offshore contractors and no account manager relaying your changes to someone you will never meet.

Questions we get asked

Custom code or WordPress or Wix?

We build custom-coded sites and apps, which suits anything beyond a basic brochure site. If you already run on WordPress or Wix and just need it improved, we can work with what you have.

What technology do you use?

For most projects, Next.js or React on the front end with Supabase for data and sign-in, and Stripe for payments. We choose tools to fit the job, and we explain the choices in plain language.

Can you connect to the tools we already use?

Usually, yes. We routinely connect payments, email, text messages and Google or Outlook calendars, and we will tell you on the call if something you use is hard to integrate.

How long does a project take?

Typically 2 to 6 weeks from kickoff, depending on scope. You get a firm finish date in writing once we have scoped the work.

Can I edit it myself afterwards?

Where a content-managed setup is the right fit we hand over an admin panel and train you. On more custom builds some changes are better kept with us, and we tell you which is which before we start.

What happens after launch?

Two weeks of post-launch support are included, and anything not behaving the way we agreed is fixed inside that window at no extra cost. After that, support is a monthly rate scoped to your needs.

Do you build mobile apps?

Most of our products are web apps that install on a phone’s home screen and work like an app, which is faster and cheaper to maintain than separate store apps. If you need a native app in the app stores, tell us on the call and we will say honestly what we recommend.

Want to talk about web development?

Tell us what you do and what you want more of. In 15 minutes we will say whether we are the right people and roughly what it would cost. If we are not the right fit, we will say so on the call.
