Local SEO · Toronto & the GTA
Local SEO for Toronto and GTA businesses
When someone nearby searches for what you do, you want to be one of the three businesses Google puts on the map. We optimize your Google Business Profile, your website and your tracking so that happens, and so you can see which calls and enquiries it produced.
What local SEO actually is
Local SEO is the work of showing up when the search has a place attached: “physiotherapist near me”, “estate lawyer North York”, “carpet cleaning Mississauga”. Google answers those searches with a map and three business listings above the normal results, then the organic results below.
Two things decide who appears. The first is your Google Business Profile: the categories, services, description, reviews and photos Google reads about you. The second is your website, which has to confirm the same story with clear service pages, a consistent name, address and phone number, and structured data Google can read. Most local businesses are weak on one of the two. We fix both, together.
What we do
Six pieces of work, in roughly the order we do them.
Google Business Profile
The right primary and secondary categories, every service listed with a plain-language description, a clear business description, current hours, photos, posts and a review link. This is where most of the quick wins are.
Local service pages
One page for each service and area you actually serve, written for the person searching, with real detail and a clear next step. No copy-pasted town pages; Google ignores them and so do customers.
On-site foundations
Page titles and headings that say what you do and where, your name, address and phone in the footer, and structured data (LocalBusiness, services, FAQ) so Google and AI assistants can read your business without guessing.
Reviews
A simple way to ask happy customers for a review, with a direct link and a message you can send. We help you ask the right people at the right time. We never buy, fake or incentivize reviews.
Consistency
Your business name, address and phone number matching across the directories and profiles that matter, so Google trusts that you are who you say you are.
Tracking
Calls, form submissions and direction requests counted properly in Google Analytics and Search Console, with tagged links on your profile posts, so the report shows enquiries and not just rankings.
How an engagement runs
Audit
We review your profile, your site, your tracking and who is currently winning the map for your searches. You get a short, plain list of what is holding you back.
Fix the foundations
Profile corrections, page titles, structured data and tracking go in first, because they are fast and they make everything after them work harder.
Build the pages
We write and publish the service and area pages that match what people search for, one at a time, starting with the services you most want more of.
Reviews and posts
A steady rhythm of profile updates and review requests, so your listing keeps looking alive and trusted.
Report
A monthly note on what changed and what it produced: calls, forms, direction requests and where you appear. Then we decide the next month's work together.

It works best for businesses that serve a defined area and get most of their customers from nearby searches.
- Clinics, therapists and other health and wellness practices
- Law, accounting and other professional firms
- Home services: cleaning, renovation, repairs, landscaping
- Studios, salons, fitness and class-based businesses
- Restaurants, cafés and shops with a street presence
- Mobile and service-area businesses that travel to the customer
What to expect, honestly
Profile and website fixes can move things within weeks. Real changes in where you rank and how many calls you get usually take months, because Google needs time to re-read your pages and trust your reviews. Anyone who promises a guaranteed ranking on a fixed date is guessing, or selling something. We do not guarantee rankings. We guarantee clear scope, honest reporting and work done by the people you spoke to.
Scope and price are agreed in writing before we start, and if the scope changes you see the cost first and get to say no.
Questions we get asked
What is the difference between SEO and local SEO?
SEO covers how your whole website ranks in search. Local SEO focuses on searches that have a place attached, and on the map listings Google shows for them, so your Google Business Profile, reviews and local pages matter most. Many businesses need both, and we build them to work together.
How long until I see results?
Fixes to your Google Business Profile and website can show effects within a few weeks. Meaningful movement in rankings and enquiries usually takes a few months. We report monthly so you can see the direction long before the destination.
Do you guarantee a number-one ranking?
No, and be cautious of anyone who does. Rankings depend on Google, on your competitors and on factors nobody controls. What we promise is the work, the scope in writing and honest numbers.
How much does local SEO cost?
It depends on your market and how much needs doing. Scope and price are agreed in writing before work starts, and ongoing work is a monthly rate scoped to what you need. A 15-minute call is enough for a rough number.
Do I need a physical address to rank locally?
To show a pin on the map, Google expects a real location where you operate. Service-area businesses that travel to customers can hide their address and list the areas they serve instead. We will tell you which applies to you.
Will you need access to my Google Business Profile?
Yes, but you stay the owner. You add us as a manager, we do the work, and you can remove our access at any time.
Do you work outside Toronto?
Our clients are mostly in Toronto and the GTA, including Vaughan, Woodbridge and Mississauga, and we have worked with businesses elsewhere, including in the United States.
